Athena is a handmade live-edge cutting board built around a striking piece of olive wood, with maple, beech, purpleheart and walnut running alongside. The natural live edge means every curve follows the tree itself, so no two are ever the same.
It measures 34.5 by 25 centimetres and a generous 2.6 centimetres thick, with a hand-oiled, food-safe finish that brings out the deep grain of the olive.
Made in our workshop in Heemstede, the Netherlands. A real eye-catcher — just as happy carrying cheese and charcuterie to the table as it is on the worktop.
Care: wash by hand with warm water and mild soap, never in the dishwasher, and stand it to dry. Re-oil every few weeks with food-safe mineral oil to keep the grain rich and the wood protected.
And when your board has seen years of use, send it back to us. We'll resand and re-oil it for a small fee, and return it ready for the next chapter.
