The Classic 2 is a large handmade cutting board blending four hardwoods: olive, cherry, ash and walnut. The strips were chosen and laid up by hand, so the colours run warm from pale ash through deep walnut, with olive and cherry in between.
It measures 41.8 by 30.5 centimetres and 1.9 centimetres thick, with gently rounded edges and a hand-oiled, food-safe finish.
Made in our workshop in Heemstede, the Netherlands. Because every board comes from its own pieces of wood, no two are ever the same, and this one is one of a kind.
Care: wash by hand with warm water and mild soap, never in the dishwasher, and stand it to dry. Re-oil every few weeks with food-safe mineral oil to keep the grain rich and the wood protected.
And when your board has seen years of use, send it back to us. We'll resand and re-oil it for a small fee, and return it ready for the next chapter.
