The smaller companion to The Phoenix, with all the same character in a handier size. The Phoenix' Daughter brings together walnut, beech, ash and alder in the same bold, contrasting stripes, deep walnut browns against pale beech and ash, so it carries the family look wherever it goes.
Every strip is hand-selected for colour and grain, then cut, arranged and glued so the stripes line up cleanly across the full width of the board. It is planed and sanded smooth through progressively finer grits, with softly eased edges that feel good in the hand. This is a solid, one-of-a-kind piece made in my small workshop in the Netherlands, so the board in the photos is the exact board you'll receive.
At 30.2 centimeters it is the perfect everyday size for slicing bread, fruit and cheese, or for serving up nibbles, light enough to grab and go, and a lovely match if you already have other pieces from the Phoenix collection.

Care
Hand wash with warm water and mild soap, then dry upright. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking. Re-oil now and then with food-safe mineral oil or board butter to keep it looking its best.
