The warm, shifting tones of the desert at dusk. Sahara brings together African oak, padauk, oak, maple and walnut in sand-toned stripes, from pale gold through warm brown to a deep padauk glow.
Every strip is hand-selected for colour and grain, then cut, arranged and glued so the stripes run cleanly across the full width of the board. It is planed and sanded smooth through progressively finer grits, with softly eased edges that feel good in the hand. This is a solid, one-of-a-kind piece made in my small workshop in the Netherlands, so the board in the photos is the exact board you'll receive.
At 41.1 cm long there is room to lay out a generous spread of cheese, charcuterie and fruit for guests, or to use it as a serving centrepiece at the table.

Care
Hand wash with warm water and mild soap, then dry upright. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking. Re-oil now and then with food-safe mineral oil or board butter to keep it looking its best.
